During my recent stay at Oyado Uemasa in Nozawa Onsen, I found the balance of luxury and value to be commendable. While it's slightly removed from the main area, the proximity to the bus stop for the Nagasaka Gondola—only 100m away—proved convenient, especially in snowy conditions. The hosts, Naoko-san and Kazu-san, enhanced our experience with their attentive service, helping us secure discounted ski lift tickets even last-minute. The facilities were clean and practical, with spacious rooms boasting a sitting area, ski storage, and essential amenities such as free toiletries and Wi-Fi. I particularly appreciated the drying room for our ski gear; it kept everything warm and ready for the next day. With well-organized restrooms and the nearby public onsen, the private shared bath felt like an added bonus. Given the high prices typical in Nozawa Onsen, I found Oyado Uemasa's rates reasonable for the quality and hospitality offered. I left with a sense of satisfaction that my choice was both financially savvy and enjoyable.
